Fantastic hostel with an eye to the solo traveller. Small enough to ensure great social vibes. Location really good as well, 10 minute walk to the waterfront. Guaranteed a good night out with the free pub crawl run every night by Andy. Legend of a bloke - whatta sick fella. Gabor and Anna were also phenomenal in every respect. Definitely recommend.
Budapest Bubble is one of the best hostels I've stayed in. The location is close to all the sights and security is 3 separate doors to get into the actual hostel. Finally the staff....they were the best,funniest,helpful and friendliest staff from putting up with my bad jokes to leading us on nights out. I will definitely be staying here again. Thanks for an awesome time and I'll see you all again soon. Dave.
Small but very friendly hostel. Staff were wonderful, Anna was very helpful and friendly and always willing to help out. We had a private room and it was good, had a fan for the warmer nights. Was a bit frustrating sharing 1 bathroom for the whole hostel, but it was fine overall. Not right in the centre of Budapest, but easy enough to get where we wanted to go, about 10 minute walk to the centre. Would definitely stay here again!
The staff at bubble are really friendly and make your stay worth while. Every evening everyone meets in the lounge for a drink and to get to know each other before the staff take you out and show you the Budapest nightlife. Location is also really good and not far from the main sights which are walkable. Would definitely recommend. Thanks for a great stay guys.
The location was great; within walking distance of pretty much everything and if something was further afield, the metro was super close. When we arrived, we had no clue about where to go in Budapest but Matt immediately whipped out a map and highlighted the best place for goulash, weird but delicious pasta, the spas and all the big tourist attractions as well as the lesser known but equally awesome sights. The other travellers we met were incredibly friendly and we went out with them every evening. We had the best time in Budapest and it was definitely due to this hostel and the people we met there. I can't fault this place at all! I've stayed at a lot of hostels over the last 3 months, and Budapest Bubble has been the best by a long shot! The staff in particular were fantastic, and were more than approachable, taking everyone out every night. As a solo traveler who isn't that outgoing, this place made it a breeze to get to know people and just have a rad time in general!
Amazing amazing hostel. Very very small with only 15 beds but Anna, Matt and Andy make this place amazing. They are quite good at bringing everyone together and making everyone feel comfortable. They give fantastic recommendations and will even accompany you for activities if you ask. Only downside is no air conditioning so it can be quite hot but nothing unbearable and that should not deter you from staying. Fantastic place, definitely stay here if you are in Budapest!
If you want a hostel that feels like home, stay here. The staff, Anna and Gabor and Matt (? - memory fails me) were wonderful, they sat me down and told me all about Budapest, helped me find an English-speaking chemist when I was feeling sick, and just generally made me feel welcome and included for the entire duration of my stay. The hostel itself is a converted apartment, two stories, and really does feel like home with a bunch of friends staying over.
We had such a fabulous time at Budapest Bubble. Anna was the best hostel owner I have ever come across, and was so welcoming. On arrival, Anna took the time to take us through all the best things to do in Budapest with a map, and was always making incredible recommendations on where we should eat and go out. The hostel itself is so homely and comfy, and all the guests are friendly- we often went out with other guests in the evenings. Overall a fab experience, and I am desperate to go back asap!
I stayed at this hostel 2 times so far. The first time i was in a room with a french bed and the second time in a shared dorm. Both times i was very satisfied. Anna recommended some places we should go to, that way giving us the opportunity to visit Budapest not as a tourists but as common folk. Also, every time i went there i met some other travelers! There is a computer downstairs that you can use when you need it. Also the hostel is at very nice location... I am emotionally attached to this place! :)
